€35pps Room9, Knightstown, Ireland
The title of this body of work is borrowed from the John Irving book “The Hotel New Hampshire”. I’m using it here to express the mixed feelings that can often accompany life on the road; moving from Hotel to Hotel; the need to persevere through loneliness, isolation and monotony; and resist the urge to jump!
The photos in this collection were mostly taken during the business trips I did whilst working in a job as an International Business Developer in the consumer electronics and digital imaging industry. I shoot whatever chance hands me on the day; trying to work to the best of my abilities with often challenging shooting conditions.
This on-going project, which has grown to include many images over a number of years, will continue to grow in the future.
